Alaska Fishing and Sight Seeing Trip

Alaska Fishing and Sight Seeing Trip

Alaska Fishing and Sight Seeing Trip

The ultimate vacation that includes some of the best fishing and wildlife viewing in the state aboard our Private Small Ship

There are very few displays in the world more impressive than that of the coast of Alaska. Watch spawning salmon as the fish swim up the rivers that pour onto these wild beaches. Our private chartered boat, the Alaska Dawn, is a 65 foot expedition trawler ideally designed for our Alaska adventure cruise, offers an exclusive opportunity to access shallow bays in search of out of the way places and is also a extremely seaworthy vessel for days spent off shore in search of halibut or just exploring the many sea lion rookeries or whale viewing. We do all of this with all the comforts of home in extremely remote locations accessed by very few other people. Our goal is to show you the real Alaska!

Trip Highlights

You will be able to spend time among the giants of the sea the mighty humpback whales who gather in huge pods sometimes in groups upwards of fifty at a time and watch them feed in a fantastic show.

Explore the estuaries  bays and rivers in search of a variety of wildlife including bears, eagles and some of the most impressive runs of salmon in the world.

Fish for the mighty Halibut, Ling Cod, Salmon and a variety of rockfish and enjoy some of the best seafood of your life prepared for you by our experienced crew while enjoying a nice calm bay and some of our states unbelievable scenery.

You have probably seen pictures of the crowds in Alaska and on the Kenai peninsula where people line the shores shoulder to shoulder fishing for salmon.  This is the very reason for a trip like this!  With the size and mobility of the boat, we are able to access areas that others simply cannot.  We are able to get far away from the pack and see Alaska in its natural state with all of the comforts of home.  We will be far away from the business of ports and roads and standard Alaska tours.

A Maximum of Just 6 Travelers

Because we travel aboard a privately chartered small ship, our group size is strictly limited to no more than six guests. These very small numbers are also essential to approach wildlife safely without disturbing it. Also because of the group size we are able to cater better to your interests. Our itinerary is set to your interests!

Our Own Privately owned Ship

We travel aboard our own chartered vessel, the Alaska Dawn, where we are the sole guests. This boat was specifically build for exactly what we are doing– taking small groups into areas that the cruise ships can’t access and making incredible memories with all of the comforts of home!

Trips Begin and End in Homer, Alaska

Homer, Alaska– “the halibut capital of the world”– is about a five hour drive or a quick 25 minute flight south of Anchorage. Located at the southern tip of the Kenai peninsula, it is at the end of the road and the world famous Homer spit is our take off point for your vacation. From here we have a great location to run trips to the Katmai coast, the north end of Kodiak Island, and the Kenai Fiords National Park.

Your Captain and Crew

Your guide and host Paul Brand has been running trips through some of Alaska’s most breath taking areas for the last twenty years. He has a vast knowledge and love for the Ocean and the Mountains that surround and is a unbelievable resource to find many of the states untouched areas. Paul is a licensed Alaskan Master Guide and also has his Coast Guard Masters Licence of 100 tons. He takes pride in a 100 percent safety record and resides with his wife Christi and two boys Cole and Levi in Homer during the summer months. Paul’s crew consists usually of a second captain and a deckhand depending on the excursion.
